Soundtrack

Here we are showing off the fitting soundtrack for The Old Estate composed by AJ Booker.  The tracks were recorded from real hardware without emulation using the FP-GBC kit from Funnyplaying to produce the most authentic sound of the original Gameboy color without the common noise produced by that same original hardware.  The bonus track for Boss was recorded on 100% authentic Gameboy Color Hardware.

In-Depth

Let's explore the tracks, starting aptly with "Exploration Extended". This track in particular you will hear the most throughout playing The Old Estate.  A pulse follows you in the background like a heart-beat, expectant.

You know something is going to happen, the question is when. The track overall evokes a sense of hurried inspection. Caution.

While "Exploration" throws that to the wind. A realization that something is not right here.  "Encounter" has you running from something that you don't understand. The heart beat is gone and replaced with confusion.

"Boss" has got to be my favorite on this album. The alternating left and right arpeggio at the start stops you dead in your tracks.

What do you think? How do these tunes make you feel?
